Sampradaan Indian Centre for Philanthropy (SICP) is a national, non-profit organisation, established in 1996. Its goal is to promote and strengthen philanthropy, i.e., organised, informed, effective and regular giving of time, talent and other resources to meet important societal needs. SICP envisions a philanthropic movement in the country. Its second goal is to secure and maintain an environment conductive to philanthropy by increasing awareness and appreciation of its role by people, corporations and the state.
SICP achieves these objectives through research, documentation and publication, workshops and conferences; advocacy with government; public education; promotional campaigns; and the establishment of a resource center.
